Stop Sequestration

Unless Congress acts, over $500 billion in new defense cuts will hit our military starting in January.  Secretary Panetta says this "sequestration" budget would devastate our military and "hollow out" the force.  It would also cut critical funding for NASA and FAA, add a full perccentage point ot the unemployment rate and destroy up to 1.5 million American jobs.

Write your Representatives in Congress and urge them to defend our military and our economy from these reckless cuts.

Sequestration would mean:

• The smallest army since 1950, the smallest navy since 1915, the smallest fleet in Air Force history
• Up to 1.5 million American jobs destroyed
• Research and modernization grinds to a halt
• "Severely reduce" training and readiness
• "Unacceptable risk" to our troops in combat
• Next Generation Air Transportation System delayed
• Shuttle replacement program stalled
